  • "Succession" marks the tenth episode to be written by Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman.
  • This is the fifth episode directed by Daniel Attias.
  • Underneath the name "Sydney Bristow" on the CIA's KIA wall are the names "Chambliss, Scott," a production designer on Alias and "Destefano, Cece" who won an emmy for her work on the pilot episode.
  • At this point the writers didn't know what role Oleg would have in the series, but knew that they would need his dying moment to build the missing time story and to resolve it later.
  • During the online conversation, Jack's screenname is "Mozart_182" and Irina's is "Handel_4Me". These are both the names of composers.
  • When Sydney is talking to Sark with the cell's glass wall between them, you can see the reflections in the glass do not match what Sark is saying; on occasions, you can see his mouth moving in the reflections while no-one is speaking.
  • Sark is the fourth person to stay in the CIA cell - the first person was Irena, the second was Elsa Caplan, and the third was Will. This is also the last time this cell is seen.
