• This episode originally aired on America's ABC network at 10pm instead of 9pm as the first season finale of "Lost" lasted 2-hours.
• "Before The Flood" was rumoured to originally be a 2-hour episode, but after seeing the script for the Lost finale, ABC changed the Alias finale to a 1-hour episode and Lost's to a 2-hour one so they could both play on the same night.
• Vaughn's reference to Syd running faster "if I'm chasing you" is a tie-in to the season one finale “Almost Thirty Years”, where both Irina and the full sized Rambaldi Circumference made their debut.
• The liquid volume of the syringe changes between the shot where Elena fills the syringe and removes the air from it and the shot where she walks up to Nadia holding the syringe in her hand.
