Notes: |
- This episode marks Drew Goddard's fourth written episode and
also Robert M. Williams Jr's first directed episode of Alias.
- "There
Is Only One Sydney Bristow" is the 100th episode of
the series!
- Bradley
Cooper returned as Will Tippin in this episode - he was last
seen in the third season episode "Remnants".
- Long running
villain Anna Espinosa (played by Gina Torres) also returned
to the series for this
episode
- she last appeared in "A Man Of
His Word" during the fourth
season. This is her last episode of Alias.
- It
is revealed in this episode that both Sydney and Jack know
Vaughn is alive and in hiding.
The character was written back into the series in this way as
by the time production began, the series had already been cancelled
and the writers needed to wrap up as many threads as possible
in only 7 episodes.
- The photo of Thomas Grace which was used in the episode is
actually a promotional shot of actor Balthazar Getty for his
addition to the Alias cast.
- The scene
where Syd finds Will tied to a chair was a homage to the season
one finale where he first learned of Sydney's secret life.
- Will Tippin's first apartment on the series was actually the
Hyperion Bungalow outside the Disney Store on the Disney lot.
This episode
had his
first real house on the series.
- Starting
in this episode, the show tried to pay homage to all the characters
of the series which is why
Gina Torres returned
to the show. The moment where Anna leaves a kiss on the window
was part of this salute. Unfortunately the show was cancelled
before it could cover everyone.
- Sydney's
nursery in her apartment is actually the bathroom. The room
was re-designed for the birth of Isabelle.
- The special
effects for the train car is actually additional footage produced
for "Authorised Personnel Only".
- The tub
of red goo was a production nightmare for the cast and crew,
with the lighting under the table failing and the ooze leaking
out of the tub.
- After jumping
out of the train, Will
and Sydney are swimming about in mukry water. To give
the water it's murky look, milk was added to the pool.
- This episode
got it's name for 2 reasons: it is a line in Will's dialogue
at the end, and also because Anna Espinosa goes through the
Helix programme to double Syd.
