FEATURES: JENNIFER GARNER IS ELEKTRA

Her name is Elektra Nachios and she has been trained for one thing...to kill!

Following the relative success of Daredevil (2003), Twentith Century Fox - in association with Marvel Studios - released Elektra in January 2005. The character of Elektra (Jennifer Garner) was introduced in the unusually dark comic-book adaptation, which also starred Ben Affleck (Matt Murdoch), Colin Farrell (Bullseye) and Michael Clarke Duncan (The Kingpin).

The Elektra character was hugely popular, even before her appearance in the Daredevil movie, and the potential to explore her on screen further was envisioned by Fox, who agreed to film the spin-off movie during Garner's summer hiatus from Alias before her return to film the shows fourth season in fall 2004.

The movie sees Elektra in a dark place in her life. Feeling an empty void in her life after the death of her father at the hand of Bullseye, she takes on the role of a Ninja Assassin for the highest bidder. But when her target turns out to be a young girl, not unlike herself as a child, Elektra must decide what is more important - preserving a family or completing the job.

Going up against a criminal organisation known only as 'The Hand', Elektra must not only protect those she had sworn to kill but also face the inner demons of her past in order to seek her own redemption.

Directed by Rob Bowman (The X Files), Elektra is set to turn the Marvel saga into a legend. To view some promotional shots from Elektra, please click here.
