Alias Plans For An Explosive Series Finale! Many Fans Favourites To Return For The Last EVER Episode! Following the announcement that Alias, the spy-drama staring Jennifer Garner, will end this season, fans from around the world have already banded together with the goal of saving the five year old series. Save Alias and Alias Undercover Web have both been set up to save the series, and SupportAlias, a site set up a couple of years ago to show fan support for the show, is still pointing to the Michael Vartan Campaign, a project with the goal of having the character of Michael Vaughn return to the screen. Organisers are first asking fans to mail brown paper bags inscribed "Save Alias" to Stephen McPherson, head of the network's prime-time programming unit, this month. A similar tactic was previously used by SupportAlias in its infancy. Next month, the fans are asked to write letters. They are also writing to series creator J.J. Abrams to persuade him to find a new home for the show. Even if the show is to end this season, fans should not see it as the death of the series, but rather as the climax the show deserves. According to E!Online, the series finale is likely to be a double length episode and will hopefully feature many fan favourites. Those who the producers are hoping to bring back Irina Derevko (Lena Olin), Katya Derevko (Isabella Rosselini), Will Tippin (Bradley Cooper), the deceased Francie Calfo (Merrin Dungey) and Anna Espinosa ("Serenity’s" Gina Torres). But above all else, the episode "might even include a certain someone who may or may not have been shot repeatedly in the chest," said E!Online’s Kristen. Regardless of whether or not the show returns next year, series star Jennifer Garner, who has just given birth to her first child with actor Ben Affleck, has said she won't be back. Alias has ranked 75th among all prime-time series since moving to a new timeslot this year and will be going on hiatus after the December 15 episode and will not return until 2006.
