After I was captivated by the intricate plot of Gene Roddenberry's EARTH: Final Conflict, The Taelon Synod was originally launched in July, 2000 while I was still in High School. In 2005 I graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with an Honours degree in Computing (including a specialisation in Interactive Multimedia) and at this present moment I am a Support Engineer for Gael Ltd, a software development company based here in Scotland.

Keeping busy pretty much all of the time, I am also currently studying for a diploma in Freelance Journalism and Feature Writing as a long distance student at the London School of Journalism. The main focus of the course is to try and better my writing skills and help me craft my words a little better. Plus, it's always good to keep learning.

I originally enrolled on the course through my work with the Quantum Global Media Group, primarily writing for Airlock Alpha. The site is a science fiction and fantasy news website where I hold a volunteer position as the Assistant News Editor. Among my biggest scoops, in May, 2006 I had a chance to speak with Angel's Amy Acker shed some light on why the proposed Spike spin-off never came to fruition (read about it here), and then later in October I managed to secure an exclusive interview with Torchwood's John Barrowman making us the first to announce his return to Doctor Who for its third year. I was also able to carry out a one-to-one telephone interview with Freema Agyeman who plays Martha Jones on Doctor Who in 2008 just prior to her crossover into the dark and murky world of Torchwood.

I was also involved in the start-up of its sister site Rabid Doll which focuses on the horror genre. In addition to everyday news, I was able to carry out advanced reviews and previews of several straight-to-DVD movies and in March, 2009 I was able carry out an exclusive one-to-one interview with horror composer Kurt Oldman regarding his work on "Babysitter Wanted." Please stop by and check out both sites.
