Roddenberry's EARTH: Final Conflict is set in the near future, after the arrival of an advanced alien
species called The Taelons.
They claim peaceful intentions, and call themselves "Companions".
World leaders welcome these aliens, who help us with some of Earth's
most pressing problems - war, famine, disease. "Companion" popularity
soars. They establish diplomatic relations with Jonathon Doors
(David Hemblen), who founds The Resistance, an underground movement
to expose the Taelons' agenda.
Capitalizing on the devotion of the masses, The Taelons secretly
begin harnessing Earth's human resources. But over time, The Taelons
themselves come under attack. When one of their world leaders is
killed by a probe unleashed by The Jaridians, a race of war-like
aliens yet to visit Earth, The Companion leader assigned to the
United States, Da'an (Leni Parker), appoints Major Liam Kincaid
(Robert Leeshock) as his new Protector.
Liam, a Human/Kimeran hybrid with unique mental and physical powers,
takes up the secret mission of his murdered predecessor to discover
The Taelons' real motives. While serving Da'an, he covertly operates
for The Resistance, eventually stepping in as it's leader when
Jonathon Doors makes a failed bid for the White House. Liam is
assisted by Augur (Richard Chevolleau), the Resistance's computer
genius. They are later joined by the darling Renee Palmer (Jayne
Heitmeyer), who works for Jonathon Doors.
As
The Jaridian threat escalates, the ruthless Zo'or (Anita la Selva),
head of The Taelon Synod, makes it clear he will stop at
nothing to ensure Taelon survival. The more empathetic Da'an, who
abhors Zo'or's tactics, secretly plots to unseat him from power
and form a Human/Taelon Alliance against the Jaridians.
Meanwhile, courageous Captain Lili Marquette (Lisa Howard), a
Taelon shuttle pilot and primer mover in the Resistance, becomes
a pawn in a plot by FBI Agent Ronald Sandoval (Von Flores), Zo'or's
personal liaison and bodyguard. With her physiology altered and
no longer Earth-based, Lili is ejected into interdimensional space
by Sandoval. Eventually, her ship is overtaken by a Jaridian. Manipulated
by an elaborate mental ruse, Lili gives the Jaridians the means
to travel to Earth.
Back on Earth, Liam and Renee join forces,
uncovering many Taelon schemes and atrocities. There's the Mneme
machine, a means to steal
Human memories. There are the Taelon/Human hybrid babies. There's
the race of "super soldiers" who compete in the brutal
sport of "Pad'Ar," an ancient Taelon ritual. There's
the Taelons' use of living human bodies to farm "Kryss," a
substance they need to survives. There's the Taelon Control Core,
the powerful mind control device which eventually kills billionaire
Jonathon Doors as he tries to protect his son Joshua.
Liam and Renee also learn that the Taelons were on Earth long
before their presence was publicly known. They manipulated global
politics by activating a Quantum Vortex in the S.I. War, killing
100,000 people. The Taelon goal was to prevent a neclear holocaust,
but maintain a state of war. Then, with the world in turmoil, they
could arrive and set everything right.
Into this world of increasing tension and deception, Lili and
a Jaridian named Vorjak (Dan Chamercy) crash land and are captured
by Sandoval. Lili is pregnant by Vorjak, and needs Taelon energy
to survive. By the time Liam and Renee arrive, Lili has started
her metamorphosis into a Jaridian mother. As it becomes clear that
a Taelon must die for Lili and the baby to survive, Da'an is brought
into the room unconcious.
