Doctor
Belman is played by Gene Roddenberry's wife, Majel Barrett
Roddenberry. In the early season one episodes, there is a
framed photograph of Gene Roddenberry on her desk. There
is a screen cap here. |
| :: |
In
the episode "Through The Looking Glass" (#109) there is a
list of intelligent people that the Taelons want to experiment
on. Series executive producer David Krischner is on the list. |
| :: |
In
"Crackdown" (#301) Augur smashes a computer
screen which had a Taelon on it - this Taelon must have been
created using
a computer and not make-up, as it looks rather...odd. Check
out the screen
cap of
the Taelon. |

In
season two's "Moonscape", there is a character
called Lazerus who has flashbacks to when he was first experimented
on by
the Taelons. The images he sees are obviously scenes from
Boone's CVI implantation. The name Lazerus implies that the
character has been brought back to life. When the episode
aired, the Official
EARTH:
Final Conflict website launched Jaridians.com which included a hidden message saying "Boone
Is Not Dead". It appears that the producers were planning
to bring back Boone long before his resurrection in season
five. |

The
season two finale "Crossfire" featured the Resistance Movement
being torn appart and prisoners being questioned. At the
episodes end, Sandoval comes to the Embassy with two Volunteers
to arrest Da'an for his involvement - the storyline was not
continued in the next episode ("Crackdown") as if the writers
decided to' forget' about the twist. |

Several
characters were taken into custody in the series and never
heard from again. At the end of season four ("Point Of No
Return"), The Mothership was void of all human life, meaning
all prisoners must have been freed or sent to a facility
on Earth. |

Guylaine
St-Onge who played Juda in the fifth season previously appeared
in the season four episode "Blood Ties" as Serina, a deadly
Companion Agent. Damon D'Oliveira who played Sahjit in season
one also returned to play a Companion Protector in the fourth
seaosn episode "Dark Horizons". In season one's "Avatar"
(#104), Richard McMillan played the criminal James Pike,
and then later played Salvius Julianus in "Time Bomb" (#317). |
| :: |
Richard
Chevolleau was scheduled to reprise his role of Augur in
the one hundredth episode (#513 - "Deep Sleep") but dropped
out. Rumor suggests it was due to the plot development that
Augur would abandon the Resistance against the Atavus in
order to raise a family. His character was replaced with
Reese Jackson (played by James Gallanders).
|

Dean
McDermot was a recurring character in the fifth season as
Leitenant Benton Michaels. He previously guest starred in
the season two episode "Message In A Bottle", where he was
the real Liam Neville Kincaid. Although it is never mentioned,
Brenton Michael's background suggests he really is the Liam
Kincaid from the season two episode, only with a new identity. |
| :: |
Lisa Ryder, who played Kate Boone in the early episodes of
season one, went on to star in another show based on the works
of Gene Roddenberry's lost manuscript - Gene Roddenberry's
Andromeda. She played Beka Valentine. |
| :: |
Steve Bacic who guest starred in the season three episode
"Through Your Eyes" also starred in Gene Roddenberry's
Andromeda as Rhade. Initially he played two recurring characters
and later became a series regular for the fourth season. |
| :: |
Andrew Jackson who narrated the opening credits for the first
four seasons actually guest starred in the season two episode
"The Gauntlet" as the Jaridian soldier who escaped from The
Mothership. |
| :: |
During the original broadcasts of the episodes, "Entombed"
and "Boone's Assassin" were shown out of sequence, meaning
the story didnt match. The locator crystal was used and destroyed
in "Boone's Assassin" (which aired first), and then in the
next episode ("Entombed") it was discovered. |
| :: |
Kari Matchett who played Siobhan Beckett in seasons one and
two also played the Taelon scientist Ro'Ha in the first season.
Although, under all the alien makeup she was virtually unrecognisable. |
| :: |
In season one's "Through The Looking Glass", Boone's sister
Sarah was played by Wendy Lyon. When Sarah appeared in the
season five episode "Boone's Awakening" she was played by Sarah
Lafleur. |
| :: |
The actress who played Doctor Park also changed. In season
one she was played by Kate Trotter but in season two it was
Janet-Laine Green who played the character. |
| :: |
Julia Cook (season two) was played by Janet Kidder. Her mother
Margot Kidder (Lois Lane from the original Superman movie)
also appeared in the series as Doctor Maratos. (#506 - "Termination"). |
| :: |
According to the E:FC tie-in novels, Liam Kincaid had a romantic
relationship with Hayley Simmons who appeared in "Second
Chances" and "Take No Prisoners". Based on the way Liam reacted when
Haley was killed, it is possible that the writers were aware
of this development. |
| :: |
The make-up for the Jaridians changed dramatically for the
fourth season. The make-up used on Vorjak in "Arrival" (#322)
is very different from the make-up in "The Forge Of Creation" (#401). |
| :: |
In "Second
Wave" (#407) the Jaridians try to destroy Earth
with a weapon which will heat up the planet, turning the sky
orange. In "Defectors" (#219) the Resistance witness the same
thing happening to other planets, only the destruction was
being done by The Taelons. |
| :: |
Before returning to play Boone in season five, Kevin Kilner's
only condition was that he was allowed to preview the script
before signing to make sure the fans got a high quality episode
with his return. The writers continually stated that they hadnt
brought Boone back to kill him off again. But in the penultimate
episode of the series ("The Journey") they done just that...without
the involvement of the actor. |
| :: |
According to rumors, Leni Parker was offered a recurring
role in season five after having been let go from the series.
The actress refused to return because she didnt like the direction
the final season was taking. Lisa Howard made the same decision
at the beginning of season four when she was offered a recurring
contract. |
| :: |
Maiya,
who was played by Montse Viader, disappeared from the series
after "One Man's Castle" (#212).
It was left to the E:FC website to explain where the character
had gone - she went north to work with Eskimo's. Miaya joined
with Isabel in season two, therefore Miaya became an anthropologist. |

When
the show was first conceived, the Skrills were originally
to be called Zatars, but when
the series finally went into production,
it was changed in order to give it a less alien name. |
